Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities: TO LOVE

Today,  many of us are at loss in our search for materials on what it really means to be human.

If all that we rely on are the daily newspapers,  movies,  magazines, TV news reports or sitcoms,  we are bound to get distorted views. No wonder that in the word association quiz we might readily associate the word "man" with MANloloko,  MANlilinlang,  MANdurukot,  MANdurugas and MANiac. While we may find the pun amusing,  it is almost certain that at some later moment, we may be bothered by such ideas and start having a deep longing to know what it really means to be a human.
We have very often used the KUNDIMAN- Sapagkat Ako'y Tao Lamang (Because I'm Only Human) as an excuse to be weak, to fail,  and to be blind. Yet,  we will agree that the word human is closely connected with justice which means the recognition of the dignity and rights of one's neighbor. To be hum,an does not mean to be weak but rather to be just.  The question then is,  can we be just? It is easy to say say give what is due to others,  to respect their rights,  to give them equal opportunity. However,  it is so easy to say but what is happening is the reverse.
True equality of rights and opportunity finds its fulfillment in love. Justice attains its inner fullness only in love. But our real problem is not the meaning, rather in praxis. If we take justice as an impartial legal structure that will give everyone his/her due,  it will work well, only if we all have equal advantages and opportunities.  Unfortunately,  it is not the case. We need something stronger than the letter of law. If each is to get his/her due,  justice attains its inner fullness only in love.
To be human then is to be just and in order to be just,  we must love.  It means then that true equal rights and equal opportunities only come through LOVE. The question then is,  DO YOU LOVE?

"KNOW"

Our climate has been very tricky. This is due to the change of the weather not only in the Philippines but in the entire planet called Earth.
Every country has its own weather condition which corresponds to the works and bad habits of the people living in a certain place. We all know that we are the ones who's been creating each and every action or bad habits why our climate has been changing as we grow and inhale the air that we breathe. This means decreasing the span of  life that we must have. Climate change affects our daily living,  because of the bad weathers that we are experiencing from time to time,  many people die because of the calamities that strike us in an unexpected time.
One of the bad habits that most people usually do is the so called "KAINGIN" wherein people cut trees in the forested areas but they are not replacing it. That's why many innocent people are always affected,  because when the heavy rain stars to fall on the ground,  there is such calamity called LANDSLIDE.
Nevertheless,  we can always make a solution if we really want to. We can prevent the calamities that may hit us in any time. People must always know their worth,  their duties and responsibilities to every creation especially to our mother Earth. Let us begin anew life,  leave yesterday and start planning a better life for your tomorrow. Because a better plan leads to a better future,

"A Glimpse Of My Experience"

During the second quarter of this school year, I've learned about using differernt tags in the notepad.  I was not very familiar with the tags before,  all I know was the tag is the facebook, a social networking site.  I found myself absurd when we started to discuss about it.
Our teacher gave us differernt exercises in our own workstations for us to be able to familiarize the uses of the different tags.  As I work on my activity, I was wondering how it will look after saving it.  When I opened my folder, I was amazed seeing the outcome of my activity.  It was a lot different, it looked better.  One more thing is we were asked by our teacher to make our essays about the theme of the different activities in our school.  It was quite hard, very brainstorming.  I thought I could not make it because my mind was starting to shake that time because I have a lot of projects that I need to accomplish but ideas just pop up on my mind that's why I was able to finish my essays.  That was very close!  I was pressured that time but it was challenging indeed.
These experience are worth smiling for.  Why?  Because those are challenges that I've just gotten through.  And are worth reminiscing. :)

Promoting Digital Literacy through English Proficiency

Nowadays, technology is very much used everywhere.  We use this especially in communicating to others.  The question is, does English proficiency promotes digital literacy?
We all know that English proficiency is important to all of us.  Digital literacy is important.  Come to think of it, if our English proficiency is very well enhance, our digital literacy will also be enhanced and we can promote it.  Why?  Because we all know that English is our universal language.  Through English,  we can easily promote digital literacy because we can easily communicate with other people by using English.  English bridge the gap between countries and is the language of professionals. that is why we can promote digital literacy easily by using and enhancing our English proficiency.

Chemergy: Chemistry and Science Club in Synergy

Chemistry and Science club has a great role in promoting and developing our environment. These two essentials has a connection to be able to regenerate the environment.
Chemistry is said to be the science that deals with the nature of substances and the ways in which they act on,  or combine with each other so Science club somehow connects with this in order to plan a better future for our mother nature.  Science clubbers are also responsible for this, they have a contribution in the conservation of our energy.  Come to think of it, if Science club were not created for the awareness of energy and environment, all chemicals will be abused because of the people who are educated with this but not really aware of promoting the betteness of our society.
But we must remember that all of us must contribute in protecting our environment.  It's not only the Science club that is connected but all of us because we are all living in one society that must be developed by all means of taking good care of it.

"My Teacher Is My Comrade"

A teacher for me is my second parent and i consider my teacher as a friend too.  A good listener who usually gives me a heart-warming thoughts and lots of advises.  And I consider a teacher as my hero.
Dear readers, I would like to introduce to you Ms. Aileen Joy Rosario, my teacher-hero.  I bet the first question that invades your mind is "WHY HER?".  Your question will be answered as we go on.  Ma'am Aileen is a very intelligent teacher and a good friend as well.  At first, I was hesitant to share my problems with her because we were not that close yet and of course I was ashamed.  But when I experienced talking to her, I felt very comfortable so I decided to tell her my problems as we are talking.  As I was telling her my story, I noticed that she's serious and listens to me very well.  After telling her the whole story, she found out that i was having a hard situation that time.  I was very confused and i'm having a hard time thinking of the things that I must do to get through with my problems.  But  ma'am Aileen just smiled at me and said, "You know, you are a very strong person, I didn't expect that you're suffering from those kind of problems but still, you are able to manage yourself."  I smiled back at her and said,"ma'am, can you probobly tell me what to do?"  Then she started giving me advises until I was enlightened.
She taught me one thing that can really be applied in life, that is to strong enough to face each and every consequences and struggles that I may encounter in life.  We must always look at the brighter side of our lives in order for us to become positive and look lived in.  That's my HERO, MS. AILEEN JOY ROSARIO.
I HOPE YOU LEARNED SOMETHING FELLAS!

Is It Truely A Reduction Speech?

Another SONA has been laid out to the people of the Republic of the Philippines that was delivered by our president Benigno Simeon Aquino III last July 25, 2011 at exactly 4 p.m in the "Batasan Pambansa".
There were so many politicians who attended the State of the Nation Address to be able to witness how the president deliver his speech. As expected, there were people who criticize his SONA because according to them, the president only focused on the problems that we are experiencing in our country especially poverty and corruption but he did not even include how he will handle these problem. HE did not even lay some solutions on how to eradicate poverty. According to the president, the percentage of hunger in the Philippines was decreased. But for others, this is absurd because everywhere they go, there are so many children who do not have shelter and craving for food. Those people are very pityful.
For the next SONA, I do hope that the president will also lay solutions not only problems. He must know how to control and handle the primary problems that the Philippines have been experiencing since the past administrations.

Isulong Ang Breastfeeding: Tama, Sapat at Eksklusibo

A newborn baby creates an extraordinary happiness to a couple especially to the mother who carried and took good care of this little angel for 9 months. Isn't it amazing to see the fruit of couple's romantic moments? Their masterpiece, their baby.
It is always important to become a healthy one. Every living organism must possess a healthy body. That's why we must give importance to it. Babies needs fresh milk from their mom. Instead of buying milks from stores, why not just breastfeed? Don't risk the health of your child, start breastfeeding today not tomorrow, because we may not know what will happen the next day. Be assured that your babies will grow the way they deserve to. A healthy one. Start NOW for the BETTER FUTURE.

I Am Against!

#15 Rizal Street
Poblacion, Sto. Domingo
Ilocos Sur
June 8, 2011

Dear Mr. President,
I am expressing my warmest greetings to you. I hope your having a great day sir.As I was making this letter, I am thinking of some problems here in the Philippines that is happening at present. I am nothing but a simple student and constituent of our country but I decided to make this blog for me to able to express my emotions, ideas and thoughts about the RH Bill.I know some people who are not in favor of the RH Bill and I am one of them. I think the Rh Bill is not a really good act to be implemented in our country, There are people who wants this but in my own points of view, they are nothing but an immoral creations of God.They want to use contraceptives such as condoms and pills to do whatever they want in the sense of having sex without even getting married first, that is why many of the youth now a days are not finishing their studies . They were influenced by the pleasure they get because they know that using such contraceptives are safe for them so they can have sex anytime they want to and it is not good for the youths. They tend to last their control and stop motivating their selves in school.
One of the primary reason why we are against in the RH Bill is that, its like we are not giving the babies a chance to live and to see the beauty of the world. Its just like we are controlling and stopping their little eyes to the rise of the sun. Its not about making the population grow but its about giving them a chance to live. RH Bill is not really useful, the control of our population only depends on parents. They can talk abut how they will make their family, how many children should they have and considering the kind of living they have. What we really need is a Family Planning.
This is my crave Mr. President . I hope you respect my thoughts about the implementation of the RH Bill. The letter ends here sir. Thank you have a great living.

Sincerely yours,
Rosechellyn
